Microplastics

You may not be able to see them, but they are there!

Plastic pollution continues to threaten marine life. There is plastic everywhere; in packaging, clothing items, containers, tires, cleaning products, straws, and more.

Over time these plastics break down into smaller pieces and end up in our waterways. Eventually, they enter our oceans.

Sea life will consume these plastics, but they cannot digest them. The buildup of plastic in animals can eventually kill them.

Humans are not exempt from the impacts either. We eat microplastics every day! It is important for everyones' health to try to limit microplastics in the environment.
